“I would describe myself as humorous, open, and naive”, says this gorgeous Wenatchee senior, “I’m learning to accept the fact you can’t be perfect. You don’t have to be a “cool” kid or fit in a group, be a star athlete, or have a 4.0, etc etc. Take a deep breath and just be you. Have fun!” After high school, Alura will be heading to WSU, where she hopes to study viticulture and food science, and hopes to find a career in an agricultural field. She says her personal hero is Jesus Christ, and her mom, who she says, “goes above and beyond to make sure I have what I need”. Besides her academics in high school, she was also highly involved with the local FFA chapter. “I had no idea what FFA was at first”, she admits,
“But I already made some amazing memories. I don’t even know where to begin… I’ve made some pretty awesome friends, it’s so much fun, the teachers are great, state convention is a blast, etc. FFA is just awesome!” She also cites becoming the FFA reporter as one of her biggest accomplishments to date.
For her session, we chose locations that suited her personality, and her personal style which she says is mostly a “jeans and tee shirt” style. She requested a nature setting, and we found great sunlight and greenery. I loved getting to know her, and we had a great session together!
